Birthday Time!

Well...we have been busy lately celebrating holidays and birthdays. January started off with Melissa's birthday, Cecily's birthday and Gavin's birthday! In February we will be celebrating my birthday and sweet Clara's birthday, which she happens to share with my Grandmother. That's right, Clara will be ONE on February the 26th. It is hard for me to think about her turning one...this year has definitely flown by. Clara is crawling/worming around, waving bye bye like she is a beauty queen with her little hand cupped, rambling in her own little language and eating some table foods. She really is such a happy baby and a joy. Her hair is always a mess...it stands straight up. She looks like a baby chick! She continues to watch every move that her big brother Jack makes...and he is my little watchdog. Lately Clara has been reaching for outlets, so Jack alerts me when this happens. He is so sweet to her and always makes sure she has a toy. Jack loves to have Gavin and I read to him. Every night he chooses a book, and then we read a prayer out of a children's prayer book. He is very interested in baby Jesus and loves to pray. His favorite part is when we say amen...he claps and says "yea"! He also LOVES to ride his power wheels truck...he thinks he can "mud ride" in the field across the street from our house. We are loving having the open lots in the front so that we can let Jack drive his car and ride his bike across the street. We are blessed!
