It's time for my yearly update! :)

Some pictures from Christmas! Santa came to our neighborhood on a helicopter! We had the best time and the kids absolutely loved it!

Well....it has been almost an entire year, but here we are! I don't even know where to start, so I will just post some updated pictures!

Awww...Clara is one!

I can't believe that Miss Clara is one! Time flies when you are having fun. She has been such a blessing and such a wonderful baby. On her actual birthday, the 26th, Clara woke up crying at 4:45 am. While I was rocking her, I was thinking about last year. At that time last year, Gavin and I were in the car on our way to St. Vincent's. She was a scheduled c-section and was born at 7:11 am (that is the date of Jack's birthday). She had light blonde hair and long curled eyelashes...this was the first thing I noticed about her because when the nurse brought her to me, she said,"look at these eyelashes". I wish I could press pause and let her be one forever, but at the same time I know we are so blessed that she is healthy and growing!

Her birthday party had a ballerina theme. It was so cute...I will post some pictures of the decor later!

Bedtime...the sweetest time!

Bedtime has recently become my favorite time of the day...I know what you are thinking...not because it is a chance for Mommy and Daddy to rest, but because of the sweetness that it involves. It usually begins with "bubbles", which leaves me with two sweet smelling babies, dressed in precious footie jammies. Then we read two or three books, chosen by Jack. He loves Goodnight Moon, his "tractor" book and this random book we have about a duck learning to play with other ducks. I love to read to them because it reminds me of their true innocence and simplicity. The simplest words and pictures mean so much to them, which I think is so sweet. After our books, we say our prayer. We turn the lights off and thank "Baby Jesus" for everything we are blessed with. I also think this time is soooo sweet because our prayer is a simple thanks for the MOST important things in our lives. Mommy, Daddy, Clara, Jack, Mimi and Papa, Lulu and Gigie, Missy and Hunter, Brent, Aunt Messy, Miney and Louis, etc. If only my prayers were this simple and sweet and thankful. Unfortunately, I am usually telling on myself, asking for things and pouring out all of my worries and fears. I know one day that Jack and Clara will be faced with difficult times and will have to understand the troubles of the world, but for now, I am so enjoying their simple little minds! Our night ends with my singing, which is painful for most ears, of Jesus Loves Me...after all, what is more important than that? :) Knowing that my children know that God is good and loves them makes my sleeping easier, too. I hope everyone is doing well!

Love
Janelle
